Duration: 8 hours (delivered in 2 hour increments)
Audience: The target audience is New employee’s of the property who need an introduction and training on the Megapro Reservation System.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this class.
Course Description:
This course offers an introduction to Megasys Hospitality Technology Reservation Menus and Options. The Reservations Menu contains all information and procedure related to the reservation process. This course is designed to develop users’ understanding of the Megasys Reservation Menus, menu options and reports pertaining to the Reservation department, New users will be given an introduction to the Megasys system as well as a concentrated look at making a reservation.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the availability screen and house stats
- Identify the components of the reservation process for regular, group and casino reservations
- Identify the components of advance deposit posting
- Understand the procedures for blocking rooms
- Understand the procedures shift closing if advance deposits are posted
- Identify the components of primary reservation menus and options
- Identify the components of the Guest History Menu and options that may be used by the reservation department
Course Agenda:
- Overview of the basic Reservation system (RES, RRP, BLK, WAL, WHO)
- Explanation of the House Stats,. Availability, Room Rack and Room Display options
- Options under Individual Reservations
- Create reservations in the RES menu to review the reservation options
- Review and demonstrate canceling a reservation and reinstating the reservation
- Make and break a reservation
- Post an advance deposit and close shift
- Block rooms using the BLK menu
- Run the BLK menu reports for review
