ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE – NEW USER
Delivery Format: On-line Training/On-Site Custom Training/Megasys Training Center
Duration: 8 hours (delivered in 2 hour increments)
Audience: The target audience is New employees’ of the property who need an introduction and training on the Megasys Accounts Receivable Module.
Prerequisites: None
Course Description:
This course offers a full training to the Megasys Hospitality Technology Account Receivable Module, all menus, options and reports. This course is designed to develop users’ understanding of how to utilize the Megasys Accounts Receivable functions and reports.
Course Objectives:
- Understand how receivable accounts are created and the components of an account
- Understand the procedures of how charges and adjustments are posted to an account
- Understand the ways to generate an invoice and statement for billing
- Understand the procedures of how payments and credits are posted to an account
- Understand the void and transfer options
- Understand the reporting elements of the module
Course Agenda:
- Overview of the Account Receivable module (ARS, ARV, ARD, ARP, ABS, DUN, GLC, GLJ)
- Overview of the primary system ledgers (Guest Ledger, City Ledger, Advance Deposit Ledger, Gift Certificate Ledger)
- Review and practice account configuration
- Review and practice posting options
- Review and practice statement options
- Review and practice payment and adjustment options
- Review and practice posting code maintenance
- Review and print reports
- Balance Ledgers
- Troubleshooting ledger out of balance issues
Recommended Experience:
Prior A/R experience with another system.
The course can be modofied for first time A/R clerks. If there is no A/R experience, Night audit and/or Front Desk experience is helpful.
